Steel Doors

Steel Sliding Doors

Steel sliding doors glide on a top-hung track — no threshold interruption, big clear openings, minimal moving parts.

Steel Sliding Doors

Sliding doors don’t need swing clearance. They fit where a French door cannot — kitchen islands near patio walls, narrow bedrooms with shared bathrooms, wall-to-wall glass on a covered porch.

Build details

  • Top-hung carriage on a hardened steel or aluminum track
  • Bottom guide pin, flush-mount so floors stay unbroken
  • Single or double track for 2-panel (one slides) or 4-panel (both slide past each other)
  • Full-length insulated glass with thin 1-3/8″ stiles

Size range

Single slider up to 8 feet wide; multi-track systems up to 20 feet. For openings larger than that we usually suggest a panoramic (pocket) or accordion system instead.

Weather performance

Our slider uses a dual-brush and compression-gasket combination at the meeting stile, plus a drop seal at the bottom that engages when the door is closed and locked. Tested to 50 mph wind-driven rain with zero infiltration.

Ideal applications

Pool-deck openings, open-plan living rooms with patio access, narrow side-yard exits. Not our first pick for north-facing winter-wind exposures — an inswing door seals marginally tighter against sustained wind load.
